Revision guidelines
Our goal is to deliver your project exactly as you envision it, and your feedback is essential in achieving that goal as efficiently as possible. We ask that you adhere to the following guidelines to ensure smooth sailing to project completion!
Where to Submit Revisions:
✅ Submit all revisions via our portal. This ensures that all changes are tracked and managed efficiently.
❌ Do not email revisions directly to our team members, as this can lead to miscommunication and delays.
Provide Effective and Concise Feedback:
✅ Provide clear and concise feedback to help us understand your vision accurately and make revisions efficiently.
😍Example: "Enhance the lighting in the living room to create a warmer atmosphere similar to the attached image.”
❌ Avoid vague or ambiguous requests that may result in misunderstandings or delays in the revision process.
🤔Example: "I don’t like the lighting in the living room."
Be Specific:
✅ Specify your requests with as much detail as possible, including color codes, brand names, or specific dimensions.
😍Example: "Change the front door color to Sherwin Williams Luxe Blue (SW 6537).”
❌ Avoid generic requests that lack specificity, as they may lead to misinterpretation and additional clarification rounds.
🤔Example: "Front door should be blue."
Include Visual References:
✅ Attach photos and links whenever possible to visually communicate your preferences effectively.
😍Example: "Here is a link to the sconces we would like to use with the sizing specs [link]”
❌ Describing changes without providing visual examples can make it challenging for us to understand your vision accurately.
🤔Example: "We are not sure what to use for sconces, we are thinking of using a 24” linear Mediterranean style or a modern style."
Complex Concepts? Use the Loom video feature!
✅ Utilize the Loom video feature for complex explanations or concepts that are difficult to convey through written descriptions alone.
❌ Requesting a call or providing lengthy written descriptions without visual aids may result in misunderstandings and concepts being lost in translation.
One Reference Sample:
✅ Provide one reference sample for each requested change to streamline the revision process.
😍Example: “Included is a link to the roof shingles to use with accurate sizing.”
❌ Submitting multiple reference samples for the same change can lead to confusion and delays in finalizing revisions.
🤔Example: “Attached are 5 different roof styles we like.”
Adhere to Agreed Revisions and Scope of Work Agreement:
✅ Adhere to the number of revisions specified in the agreement and stay within the scope of work outlined in the contract.
❌ Requesting additional revisions beyond the agreed-upon limit or changes outside the scope of the initial agreement may result in additional charges.
Revision Portal Closure:
✅ Understand that the revision portal closes 30 days following delivery of v1. At this point, the project is considered completed, and no further revisions can be requested.
❌ Requesting revisions after the 60-day window has elapsed may not be accommodated and could require a new project agreement.
Need Revisions After Approving or Outside the 30-Day Window?
✅ Contact your project manager if revisions are needed after project approval or outside the 30-day window.
❌ Ignoring the 30-day window and submitting revisions directly may result in additional charges.
Revision Turnaround Time and Patience:
✅Understand that we aim to return revisions as soon as possible, typically within 3-5 business days.
❌ Expecting immediate revisions without considering turnaround time may lead to delays in the revision process.
